Alejandro Pedro Bulgheroni, an Argentina-based billionaire and owner of several wineries in Argentina, Uruguay and California, has purchased Dievole estate in Chianti Classico region and Poggi Landi in Montalcino region of Italy.

Located near north of Siena, Dievole consists of 80ha of vineyards, winery, olive groves and a recently built luxury resort.

The billionaire has also reportedly purchased Poggio Landi estate for around €15m from Italian winery Fattoria dei Barbi owner Stefano Cinelli Colombini. The estate has an entire area of 134ha, out of which 25ha are planted with vines, reported Decanter.com.

He plans to renovate the estate by adding a new cellar, reconstructing the farmhouse and producing wine after installing the winery.

Bulgheroni's Uruguay estate Bodega Garzon consultant Alberto Antonini will look after the operations at both the estates.
