Cupcake Vineyards adds Butterkissed Chardonnay to brand’s permanent offerings

Cupcake Vineyards has added its 2016 Cupcake Vineyards Butterkissed Chardonnay to the extensive portfolio of wines from some of the best grape growing regions around the world.

Cupcake Vineyards’ Monterey County Chardonnay, the fastest growing of the top 10 Chardonnays in its price point and the second biggest SKU in the Cupcake Vineyards portfolio, boasts a lighter style and reflects a sense of place. With the Cupcake Vineyards Butterkissed Chardonnay, the winemaker, Jessica Tomei, explores a very different style to satisfy two distinct consumer preferences for Chardonnay.

The Cupcake Vineyards Butterkissed Chardonnay represents a complex and decadent take on the varietal after 100% malolactic fermentation on American and French oak, resulting in a smooth-creamy mouthfeel, luscious buttery notes and hints of vanilla.

The brand launched a limited-time offering of Cupcake Vineyards Butterkissed Chardonnay with the 2015 vintage.

Winemaker Jessica Tomei said: “Cupcake has such a loyal fan base, I’m pleased to be able to respond to our consumers’ wine preferences by making Cupcake Vineyards Butterkissed Chardonnay a permanent part of our portfolio.

The 2016 Cupcake Vineyards Butterkissed Chardonnay is a blend of fruit from vineyards in the Central Coast and Central Valley and available nationally with an SRP of $10.99.
