Daou Vineyards buys neighboring vineyard Twilight Cellars
California-based Daou Vineyards has purchased Twilight Cellars, a Paso Robles-based winery that produces Rhone varietal and Bourdeax varietal wines.
Located in the Adelaida district of California, the Twilight Cellars has around 212 acres of vineyards planted with Pinot Noir and Cabernet vines from which it produces Burgundian-style Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon wines.
Daou Vineyards owner George Daou told ksby.com that the purchase of the vineyard will allow them to completely plant the vineyards with their vines and continue the vision of Dr Stanley Hoffman and Andre Tchelistcheff, who founded the winery in the 1960's.
Daou Vineyards portfolio of wines includes 2010 Daou Chemin de Fleurs, 2011 Daou Chardonnay, 2010 Daou Celestus, 2010 Daou Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and others.
