Published 01 August 2017

Empire Distributors has agreed to distribute Dalton Distillery's TazaRay, the first spirit made from sunflowers and which is aged in bourbon barrels.

The initial launch of the product will begin in Georgia.

Empire is a leader in the distribution of spirits, wine, beer and nonalcoholic beverages. Based in Atlanta, Empire operates locations within Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Colorado.

“This gluten-free sunflower distilled spirit made from Georgia-grown sunflowers is both beautiful and delicious,” says Jerry Russo, Empire Distributors On-Premise Sales Manager. “We know this unique brand will make a strong impact in the market and is a wonderful addition to our portfolio.”

The first shipment of the unique sunflower spirit should be available to order as of August 1, says Vann Brown, Director of Marketing for Dalton Distillery. Consumers may request TazaRay from any local retailer or favorite dining establishment. Beverage stores and restaurants who wish to stock TazaRay may contact their local sales representative or consult the company’s web site, www.empiredist.com.

Dalton Distillery, located in the foothills of the Northwest Georgia mountains, has quickly established a global reputation for its hand-crafted spirits. The company is working with distributors nationwide in debuting its new product.
