Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar launches new blend

DBR Staff Writer Published 04 December 2012

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, an American steakhouse restaurant chain owned and operated by OSI Restaurant Partners, has released its latest boutique private label wine - Forty-Six Diamonds 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

Forty-Six Diamonds 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is a limited edition wine that is produced from grapes grown in Hall's estates. It is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Petit Verdot, 12%Merlot and 12% Syrah.

The Bordeaux-style wine is a collaborative product of Fleming's and Hall Winery. It is the brainchild of Fleming's wine director Maeve Pesquera and Hall Winery winemaking director Steve Leveque and assistant winemaker Megan Gunderson.

Leveque said the blend has aromas of black cherry, spice and toasty oak.

"The full red fruit palate is vivid and focused and gives way to supple tannins and a long, balanced finish," he added.

Forty-Six Diamonds 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is currently available in Fleming's 64 restaurants across the US.
