Francis Ford Coppola introduces new Monterey County Chardonnay

DBR Staff Writer Published 26 September 2013

US-based Francis Ford Coppola Winery has expanded its Sofia range with a new Monterey County Chardonnay.

Priced at $19, the new product has been created to meet Sofia Coppola's preference for crisp and minerally Chablis-style Chardonnays, the company said.

The new Sofia Chardonnay is an addition to the existing Riesling, Rosé and a Blanc de Blancs sparkler in the range, reports the shankennewsdaily.com.

In addition, the company is planning to launch a new brand following the Geyser Peak Winery acquisition.

Ford Coppola Winery has acquired Geyser Peak facility and its 32 acres of vineyards that are valued at around $35m, in March 2013.

The company engages in the production of wines. It offers its wines and non-wine non-tobacco merchandise across the US.
