Island Club Brands to add Carnaval Brazilian Brut to portfolio

DBR Staff Writer Published 29 November 2012

Island Club Brands, a Florida-based company involved in developing, importing and marketing wine and spirits brands, is to introduce a new drink - Carnaval Brazilian Brut - in the US, following the success of its red and white Carnaval Brazilian Sparkling Moscatos and Cabana Cachaca.

To produce the wine, Island Club partnered with Brazil-based winery Cooperativa Vinicola Aurora. The 11.8% ABV Carnaval Brazilian Brut is a blend of Reisling and Semillon grapes that are sourced from Serra Gaucha region in Brazil.

Island Club Brands founder Matti Anttila said they are happy to first introduce the Brazilian wines in the US, which is on the verge of hosting World Cup in 2014 and the Summer Olympics in 2016.

"Through our partnership with Aurora, we are also looking forward to adding several Brazilian still wines to our portfolio in early 2013," Anttila added.

Carnaval Brazilian Brut will be available in select US markets from December 2012 and will expand nationally throughout 2013 at suggested retail price of $14.99.
