KWV winery to debut African Passion wines in US

DBR Staff Writer Published 25 January 2013

South Africa-based winery KWV is set to debut its African Passion line of wines in the US.

African Passion line consists of seven varieties of wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot, Moscato, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc.

Created in the KWV Cellar of Paarl, Western Cape, all the wines in the line are fruit-forward and balanced by soft maturation characteristics.

Other wine brands of the winery include Cathedral Cellar, Roodeberg and KWV Classic that are created from the grapes sourced from the Western Cape of Africa.

About 10% from the sales of the new product will be contributed to the TransAfrica Forum in order to support human rights and social justice in Africa.
