Odom-Southern buys Washington wine wholesaler Cavatappi
Odom-Southern of the Pacific Northwest, a joint venture of Southern Wine & Spirits of America and the Odom Corporation has purchased Washington-based fine wine wholesaler Cavatappi Distribuzione (Cavatappi).
According to the agreement, which closed on 30 September, Cavatappi will operate as an independent division of Odom-Southern.
Southern Wine & Spirits of America SVP, wine division president Mel Dick said the agreement with Cavatappi, advances the company's overall commitment in the Pacific Northwest and bolsters its fine-wine presence in the great wine-producing and -consuming state of Washington.
Cavatappi founder and president Peter Dow said Cavatappi's sales manager Jon Marvin will continue to manage the Cavatappi business day-to-day.
Cavatappi's portfolio includes approximately 90% imports, from wine-growing regions on five continents.
