DBR Staff Writer Published 14 December 2012

TGIC Importers, a California-based importer of South American wine, has launched a new online wine store - WineOfaKind.com - that offers consumers with direct access to highly sought after wines.

WineOfaKind.com will work as a platform to allow customers to buy hard-to-find and highly rated and valued wines from all around the world and get them delivered at their homes. The selection of wines range from '90+ point wines under $25' to the finest wines in the world.

As online wine sales are expected to generate $200m in 2012, the wine store eyes the business prospects by offering customers with wines from all price segments.

TGIC Importers founder and CEO Alex Guarachi said all are aware of the huge internet business.

"I have seen the industry change and recognize this as an opportunity for us to grow in another ancillary channel," he added.
