Winebow acquires Vintage Wines
Winebow, a US-based importer and distributor of premium quality fine wine, spirits and sake, has purchased the assets of Illinois-based importer and distributor Vintage Wines.
Winebow imports fine wines and spirits from around the world and distributes in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Montgomery County, Maryland.
Under the new deal, Vintage Wines will serve as subsidiary of Winebow and expand its presence in Illinois. In 2010, Winebow expanded its business in Illinois through a new Chicago facility.
Together they will offer wines from major wine producing regions around the world, including Argentina, Austria, Chile, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain and the US.
Winebow president and CEO Jon Moramarco said by combining their strengths and resources, they look forward to becoming the leading fine wine distributor in Illinois.
"Combined, we double our sales force and better serve this key market with an impressive portfolio of domestic and international fine wine," Moramarco added.
